Learning objectives

  • Identify this example, its board class and pin limitations.

Before this introduction

Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is a single-board computer (SBC). It can boot Linux from storage and run applications with memory, USB and display connections. It is not interchangeable with Pico: OS boot, scheduling and software setup differ. The header mixes 3.3 V GPIO, power and GND; physical header numbers are not GPIO numbers. It has no general-purpose onboard analog input ADC. GPIO access here is planned, not an OS simulation.

Learn only: circuit building, board simulation, firmware export and physical connection for this board are not available here.
